"What's in the Leaky Cave?" is a quest that takes place at and around a small rural village in [Needs location: arid region].

The quest begins with the villager in charge of the farm talking to the player about how it is difficult to keep the farm hydrated as the stream that the village survives on can go dry at times in the summer. He goes on to tell you that some villagers reported seeing water leaking from the mouth of a cave nearby, and that they believe there are quianite crystals (crystals that produce pure water) in the cave. He knows that having some quianite at the village would solve all of their water problems, so he asks if you would go in the cave and retrieve them.

The player goes to the cave, fighting normal cave mobs on the way in, and follows a trail of wet patches leading through the cave until they find the source. You discover that the water is coming from a pale blue crystaling made mostly of mundane quartz but also one chunk of quianite in the center. The crystaling appears to be constantly producing water, and is skittish as you approach. Engaging with the crystaling leads to an encounter that is half fighting and half chasing it down until you finally defeat it. Then, you have the choice of either destroying the crystaling and taking the quianite chunk, or subduing the crystaling and bringing it back to the farm whole.

After that, the player returns to the farm village for their reward. If the player destroyed the crystaling, the quest ends. If the player kept the crystaling whole, a scene plays where the player and the farmers examine the thing and then the village leader asks the player to destroy it there. Another farmer will interrupt and insist that they give the thing a chance and see if it could be friendly. The player has to choose again whether to destroy the crystaling or remove the bindings and see what happens if they let it loose. Again, if the player destroys the crystaling, they get their reward and the quest ends. Otherwise, the crystaling is let loose and surprisingly doesn't run away. It seems to try to interact with the farmer that spoke up for it, and the group says they'll let the thing live at the farm if it behaves.

If the player returns to the farm village later, they will see one of two changes. The village will have a new magically-refilling water reserve if the crystaling was destroyed, or the village will have their little crystaling mascot seeming to enjoy its new life of helping water the plants, hanging out in a big jar to collect its water for the villagers to drink, and sometimes just making wet messes. The villagers give it the name "Leaky."
