The Uminites are the people that live in the Umiera region.

Those who have stayed in Umiera for multiple generations seem to have developed a strong resistance to the damaging spores present in the air in Umiera, but many visiting outsiders would say that the spores didn't leave their minds completely unchanged. It is true that the Uminites have some odd behaviors compared to other people, but it's unsure whether that's the effect of long-term spore exposure or just the odd environment that they grow up in. Uminites tend to be unpredictable (though not in the violent way), passionate about odd things, and are overall whimsical.

Their population is made up of over two-thirds Luelli, likely because the race's natural tendency toward being nocturnal makes them more compatible with a region that never receives sunlight. The remaining population is mostly Korum with only a few rare Sarisi because, in contrast to Luelli, they are uncomfortable in regions without sun.

Umanite settlements are often built around a particularly strong platform mushroom on which they will build multiple levels of decks going up the mushroom's stalk. Hanging bridges between decks built on several platform mushrooms that are close to each other are also common. Their buildings are made of conventional materials heavily treated to prevent rot from compromising supports, though some homes are built and intentionally infested with [need name: special building-friendly fungus], a fungus whose roots tend to actually fill in gaps, hold materials together, and prevent damaging fungi from infesting the material.
