The Pool of Purity [AKA names?] is a lake in the [needs placed in the world] region notable for being the largest body of water produced primarily by [[Quianite|quianite]] crystals (also called pure-spring crystals). The Pool of Purity is located in a place where water wouldn't naturally pool enough to produce a lake of its size, but a large quantity of quianite crystals in one area under constant activation from ground magic have filled the basin up to its shoreline. One of the crystals, called the "Heart of Purity", is the largest known quianite crystal in the world and rests right at the bottom center of the lake. This massive crystal is the reason the crystals are able to produce enough water, as the crystals are usually limited to producing only so much water until the pressure stops water production. The crystals will keep producing water up to the same shoreline, so the lake is impervious to drought or over-exploitation of its waters. Quianite crystals continually purify the waters of the lake of small particles or algae, leaving it as an incredibly clear pool that is a wonder to behold. Seeing the stars above reflected as crystals shine below and fish swim through what appears like nothing is an awe-inspiring sight. An effect of the purifying magic is that the surface of the pool sparkles blue in the rain or mist. The lake hosts a rather small but unique and specialized ecosystem as the few species of fish and plants that reside in the waters had to evolve to survive without the nutritious sediment or microorganisms found in normal bodies of water, and need to have an outer shell or membrane made of sturdy-enough material that the purifying magic won't kill the organism. The plants that survive here produce their own necessary nutrients by magical means, making them a rare and sought-after ingredient for alchemy and special diets. The ruins of several buildings and shrines dot the area around the pool from the people that have settled near the magical pool in the past. The current residents of the area, [need village name], protect the pool and ensure visitors do not disturb it more than necessary, and prevent anyone else from harvesting anything from the pool.
